Formed in 2022 by singers from two Southern California choruses, this official Sweet Adelines International quartet keeps audiences smiling with everything from jazzy Ella Fitzgerald favorites to swingy show tunes to laugh-out-loud comedy numbers. Our Quartet Members

LORI, TENOR
Our tenor, Lori, was practically born in harmony — her mom was a Sweet Adeline too! With years of piano and vocal training behind her, Lori’s musical roots run deep. She started her barbershop adventure with the Virginia Coast Chorus and now sings with the award-winning San Diego Chorus, where she also helps lead the tenor section. Lori’s sung with more quartets than she can count and even snagged the Sweet Adelines International Novice Quartet Award early in her journey. Simply put, she was born to ring chords.s.

NICOLE, BARITONE
Our baritone, Nicole Clement, has been ringing chords for more than two decades — 24 years of barbershop joy and counting! Her musical life stretches from the stage to the driver’s seat, with roots in musical theater and a love for impromptu car concerts. A long-time member of the award-winning San Diego Chorus, Nicole served as Baritone Section Leader for ten years and also brings her sparkle to the front row. She’s sung and competed with multiple quartets over the years, always chasing that next perfect blend of harmony and fun.

NICOLE, LEAD
Our lead, Nicole Knox, has been making music for as long as she can remember — from piano, flute, and percussion to drum line, show choirs, and musical theater. A classically trained musician and multi-instrumentalist, she spent her younger years competing at district, regional, and state levels before discovering the magic of four-part a cappella in 2019 with the San Diego Chorus. Since then, she’s been all in — bringing her energy, heart, and a touch of theater flair to every ringing chord.

LEAH, BASS
Our bass, Leah Rippetoe, joined Nick of Time in August 2024 and brings a powerhouse blend of talent, experience, and heart to the group. A 28-year Sweet Adeline, Leah serves as Assistant Director, Section Leader, and front row member of the award-winning San Diego Chorus. She’s sung in Regions 4, 8, 11, and 21 — where she currently serves as Education Coordinator — and has been performing in quartets for most of her musical life. With a rich background in musical theater, Leah keeps Nick of Time grounded, growing, and grinning from ear to ear.
